In Smiley & Hugs Solve a Mystery, Smiley, the dog, and Hugs, the cat, find their friend RileyDawg hiding under a chair. RileyDawg tells Smiley and Hugs he lost his smile. Can Smiley & Hugs find it for their friend? Smiley & Hugs put on their detective hats and search for the clue that will solve the mystery. The SmileyHugs Story
It all started when I adopted my little dog Riley, a lovable and fluffy Coton de Tulear. When Riley and I walked around our town, I noticed that people would smile when they saw him. And when they smiled, I knew that for a few moments, they felt happy and good inside and that their worries had slipped away. So what could I do to make more people feel happy and good inside - to smile - when Riley wasn’t around? Maybe create a stuffed animal that looked like Riley that people could look at whenever they wanted? So, that’s what I did. My company, RileyDawg (named after Riley of course) was formed. I initially created a large stuffed animal, but then realized people needed something smaller, something more portable. I also wanted to make it myself, so the SmileyHugs were created. Now, SmileyHugs are making heartfelt connections to loved ones, providing calm and comfort, and reducing worries, stress, and feelings of loneliness to children and adults of all ages.
But wait - there’s more! Since the SmileyHugs are so cute, why not make them characters in a book and write a story about them - and also create postcards and a gift box to provide various ways to further the heartfelt connections between loved ones and make precious memories? So, with the help of my friend - a talented designer and illustrator, the SmileyHugs Books, Teal Heart Box, and Heartfelt Connections Cards were created.
